UN representatives met in CAR with the President and public figures
Representatives of the UN, the African Union (AU) and the Economic Community of Central Africa met with the President of the Republic of Faustin-Arrange Touadera. The meeting was also attended by representatives of civil society, reports the Federal News Agency (FAN).
One of the main topics of discussion was the role of women in governing the country. The participants in the meeting are confident that without women it will not be possible to come to long-term solutions to the pressing problems of Africa.
Now the Ministry of Defense of the CAR is headed by Marie-Noel Coyara, and Sylvie Bypo-Temon has become the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This confirms that the republic is making progress in eliminating gender inequality.
